زمینه و هدف: یکی از اساسی ترین اقدامات حمایتی در بیماران بستری در بخش‌های مراقبت ویژه استفاده از تهویه مکانیکی می‌باشد. طولانی شدن مدت تهویه مکانیکی می‌تواند موجب وابستگی و مشکلات و عوارض مختلفی برای بیماران شود. به همین دلیل یکی از مراحل مهم فرایند درمان بیماران تحت تهویه مکانیکی، جداسازی مطلوب و به‌موقع بیماران از دستگاه تهویه مکانیکی می باشد. مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی شاخص های جداسازی از ونتیلاتور به صورت مروری یکپارچه و سیستماتیک انجام شد.
مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه جستجوی مقالات با استفاده از کلیدواژه های فارسی جداسازی، وینینگ و جداسازی از ونتیلاتور و کلیدواژه های انگلیسی معادل آن ها، weaning  و ventilator weaning در پایگاه های اطلاعاتی داخلی و خارجی SID، Magiran, Iran Medex, web of science، Science Direct، PubMed،Google Scholar و Scopus بدون محدودیت زمانی انجام شد. در نهایت 15 مقاله وارد مطالعه شدند.
یافته ها: مرور 15 مقاله مرتبط نشان داد که شاخص های متعددی از جمله RSBI، IWI، P0.1، NIF و CROP جهت پیش‌بینی زمان مناسب جداسازی وجود دارد و مزایا و معایب هر یک از شاخص‌های جداسازی به‌صورت پراکنده در مطالعات مختلف گزارش‌شده است.
نتیجه گیری: با توجه به نتایج مطالعه می توان دریافت یک شاخص واحد و مورد توافق همگان به‌منظور جداسازی بهینه بیماران از تهویه مکانیکی وجود ندارد، لذا جمع‌بندی یافته های موجود در رابطه با تعیین شاخص های دقیق و موثر جهت جداسازی موفق بیماران تحت تهویه مکانیکی ضروری به نظر می رسد.
