زمینه و هدف:  اضطراب و افسردگی در دوران بارداری شایع است اما اغلب نادیده گرفته شده و درمان نمی‌شوند و همین مسئله مشکلات زیادی را در دوران بارداری و بعد از آن برای مادر و نوزاد به همراه دارد. پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعیین میزان اضطراب و افسردگی و عوامل مرتبط با آن در مادران  باردار مراجعه کننده به درمانگاه‌های شهرسنندج در سال 1396انجام گردید.
مواد و روش ها: پژوهش حاضر توصیفی- تحلیلی(مقطعی) می‌باشد. جامعه مورد مطالعه شامل کلیه خانم‌های باردار مراجعه‌کننده به درمانگاه‌های سطح  شهر سنندج در سال 1396 بود  و در همین راستا 580 مادر باردار به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند و پرسشنامه اضطراب اشپیل برگر و افسردگی بک را تکمیل نمودند. تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS-18 و آزمون‌های آماری ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و کای اسکوئر انجام شد.
یافته‌ها:  شیوع اضطراب آشکار و پنهان در  زنان باردار به ترتیب 4/23 و 9/27 درصد و میزان افسردگی متوسط تا شدید برابر با 3/15 درصد بود. بین سن با افسردگی و اضطراب همبستگی معنادار مشاهده شد(p<0/05).
نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به  نتایج پژوهش که شیوع  بالای اضطراب و افسردگی در مادران باردار را نشان داد، آموزش و ایجاد بسترهای مناسب برای دریافت درمان‌های روان‌شناختی برای مادران باردار ضروری می‌باشد.
