زمینه و هدف: انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی، همجوشی و گسلش شناختی از متغیرهای مهم و اساسی درزمینه ی بالینی و تشخیصی در درمان‌های موج سوم روان‌شناسی است. هدف از این پژوهش مقایسه ی انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی، همجوشی و گسلش شناختی در زنان و مردان متقاضی طلاق است.
مواد و روش‌ها: مطالعه حاضر از نوع توصیفی، علی مقایسه‌ای است. جامعه آماری، دربرگیرنده‌ی زنان و مردان متقاضی طلاق به دادگستری شهرستان ارومیه هستند که از طریق شعب مختلف دادگاه خانواده به کلینیک‌های مشاوره تحت نظارت دادگستری، در بازه زمانی پاییز و زمستان 1397 مراجعه کرده‌اند. آزمودنی‌ها با استفاده از ملاک‌های ورود به پژوهش غربال شدند، سپس 100 نفر (50 نفر زن، 50 نفر مرد) به‌صورت کاملاً تصادفی انتخاب شدند، برای جمع‌آوری داده‌ها همه‌ی آزمودنی‌های پرسشنامه انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی دنیس ندروال پرسشنامه همجوشی شناختی گیلاندرز را تکمیل کردند. برای تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها از آمار توصیفی و واریانس تک راهه استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد تفاوت معناداری بین انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی در دو جنس مخالف وجود دارد و مردها نسبت به زنان انعطاف‌پذیری بیشتری دارند(0/05 >p)، ولی بین متغیر همجوشی و گسلش شناختی میان دو جنس تفاوتی وجود ندارد.
نتیجه گیری: نتایج به‌دست‌آمده را می‌توان در کاربست بالینی و درمانی موردتوجه قرار داده و همجوشی شناختی و گسلش شناختی از متغیرهای مهم در روابط زوجین است که می‌توان برای ارتقا و بهبود تعارضات زناشویی به کار گرفت.
