زمینه و اهداف: بیماری دیابت علاوه بر عوارض جسمی، عوارض روانی همچون اضطراب و ناامیدی را به­دنبال دارد. اضطراب منجر به تشدید قندخون بالا و کاهش خودمراقبتی، اما امید می­تواند نقش مهمی در سازگاری افراد با مشکلات ناشی از بیماری داشته باشد. لذا مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین سطح اضطراب، امید و عوامل مرتبط با آن­ها در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع ۲ انجام گردید.
مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه مقطعی بر روی 108 بیمار مبتلا به دیابت نوع دو مراجعه‌کننده به مرکز دیابت شهر همدان در سال 1399 که معیارهای ورود به مطالعه را داشته­اند، انجام شد. نمونه­ها به­صورت در دسترس انتخاب شدند. داده­ها توسط پرسشنامه دموگرافیک، اضطراب کتل و پرسشنامه امید اسنایدر جمع­آوری شدند. آنالیز داده­ها با استفاده از نرم­افزار SPSS-24 و آمار توصیفی و استنباطی انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: در مبتلایان به دیابت نوع2 میانگین اضطراب پنهان 2/62 ± 14/41، اضطراب آشکار 2/95 ± 14/48، اضطراب کل 4/59 ± 29/25، و میانگین امید 5/67 ± 31/53 بود. رابطه معناداری بین اضطراب با امید مشاهده نگردید (0/05P>). از بین متغیرهای شخصی و بالینی بررسی‌شده فقط سابقه بستری و روش درمانی با اضطراب آشکار رابطه معناداری داشت (0/05P<).
نتیجه‌گیری: بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع 2 سطح متوسطی از اضطراب و امید را تجربه کرده بودند. سابقه بستری و نوع درمان تزریقی با اضطراب آشکار رابطه معناداری داشت. انجام مداخلات مناسب جهت افزایش امید و کاهش اضطراب در بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع 2 نیاز می­باشد.
