زمینه و هدف: صلاحیت بالینی از ضرورت‌های مهم حرفه پرستاری بوده، لذا یافتن مؤلفه‌ها و عوامل مؤثر بر صلاحیت بالینی و ارتقاء آن همیشه موردتوجه نظام‌های آموزشی، بهداشتی و درمانی بوده است.  پژوهش حاضر باهدف تعیین ارتباط هوش اخلاقی با صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران شاغل در بیمارستان آموزشی شهرستان دزفول در سال 1400 انجام شد.
مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه  مقطعی از نوع همبستگی بوده است. جامعه آماری شامل 200 نفر از پرستاران شاغل در بیمارستان آموزشی گنجویان دزفول در سال1400بود که به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها شامل پرسشنامه مشخصات دموگرافیک، پرسشنامه استاندارد هوش اخلاقی Lennick & Kiel و پرسشنامه استاندارد صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران (CIRN) بود. داده‌ها در محیط نرم‌افزار SPSS ویرایش21 در سطح معنی‌داری p<0.05با استفاده از آزمون‌های آمار توصیفی و آماره‌های تحلیلی (ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و تحلیل رگرسیون) تجزیه و تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: میانگین هوش اخلاقی(24/19±156/21) حاکی از خوب بودن سطح هوش اخلاقی آن‌ها بود. میانگین صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران(31/18±152/29) در سطح متوسط بود. نتایج ضریب همبستگی پیرسون نشان داد میان تمامی ابعاد هوش اخلاقی و ابعاد صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران همبستگی مثبت و معناداری وجود دارد (r= 0.656, p<0.0001). نتایج آزمون رگرسیون نشان داد هوش اخلاقی در تبیین متغیر صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران (R2=0.430) سهیم می‌باشد.
نتیجه‌گیری: هوش اخلاقی در پیش‌بینی صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران نقش دارد بنابراین، به نظر می رسد با افزایش هوش اخلاقی از طریق برگزاری کارگاه‌های آموزشی می‌توان نگرش صلاحیت بالینی پرستاران را تقویت نمود.
