Background & Aim: Considering the important role that nurses' social responsibility has in improving the quality of nursing services, it is necessary to investigate the factors related to it. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between nurses' social responsibility and organizational structure in teaching hospitals of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences.
Material & Methods: This research was a descriptive-analytical study. The statistical population included all nurses working in three teaching hospitals affiliated with the Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, including Kowsar, Be`sat, and Tohid hospitals in Sanandaj city in 2019. Using Cochran's formula, 317 people were determined as the sample size and were selected by stratified random method. The tools used included the demographic information form, Carroll's (1991) social responsibility questionnaire, and Robbins and Evanswij's (1983) organizational structure questionnaire. SPSS
-24 software and Pearson and MANOVA statistical tests were used for data analysis.

Results: The average scores of social responsibility and organizational structure of nurses working in the studied hospitals were 131.72 and 53.45, respectively. There was a direct and significant relationship between nurses' social responsibility and its components (legal, economic, legal, economic, ethical altruistic) with the organizational structure of hospitals and its components (formality, concentration, and complexity) (p<0.05).
Conclusion: Providing the context to change the organizational structure of the desired state can play a significant role in increasing and improving the social responsibility of nurses in educational hospitals affiliated with the University of Medical Sciences. Which can be the foundation of quality and increase efficiency in teaching hospitals.
