Stress is a known component of modern nursing and has become a challenge for this profession. This study aimed to evaluate the mean score of job stress among nurses using systematic review and meta-analysis has been done. Materials & Methods: 11research papers were obtained using the key words “job stress, occupational stress, Workplace stress, nurse and their possible combination” through the nationally available databases of SID، Magiran, PubMed, Scopus and Science direct. Analysis of data was performed using meta-analysis (random effects model). Heterogeneity among studies was assessed using the I2 index. Results: The mean score of job stress with sample size of 2682 people in all the 11 papers estimated 96.56 (95% CI: 64-129). Highest prevalence of job stress was reported in correlational studies (114.54, 95% CI: 61.5-167.5).
