Nursing theories are among the sources of guidance in this area. Peplau’s theory is one of the nursing theories which emphasize the importance of the nurse - patient relationship. The objective of this study was to investigate the application of the Peplau’s theory in clinical nursing practice. Materials & Methods: The present study was a systematic review in which the keywords " Peplau, Interpersonal Theory, Peplau Nursing Theory" were searched in English in Web of Science, PubMed, and Scopus and in Persian in SID, Magi Ran and Iran Doc between January 2007 and August 2017. The initial comprehensive search resulted in 592 articles in all databases and after considering the inclusion criteria nine articles were finally chosen. Results: The results showed the positive effect of the application of Peplau’s theory of interpersonal relations in reducing the stress of hemodialysis patients, increasing the satisfaction of patients in the cardiac care unit, reducing the anxiety of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery, gaining the trust of patients with sexual and emotional abuse, promoting the health of pregnant women, reducing the harms of children with a parent in jail and increase patients’ cooperation in care. Conclusion: considering of positive outcomes of the use of Peplau Nursing Theory in practice, it is suggested to consider the promotion of nurses’ awareness of this theory and its training and application in nursing. Considering the fact that the intensive care units are more special, professional and challenging, the present study aimed to investigate the relationship between the nature of the professional practice environment and the perceived stress of nurses in neonatal care units. Materials & Methods: This is a descriptive-correlational study. Sample size includes all nurses working in neonatal intensive care units of East Azerbaijan province (110 people). Data were collected through a professional practice environment questionnaire from Eriksson et al. And Cohen's perceived stress questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS software and descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The results of the study showed that nurses evaluated the compliance of the intensive care units of the neonates with the items of the professional practice environment at the moderate level. The internal motivation for work (r=-0.20, p=0.03), performance control (r=-0.28, P=0.22), communication with doctors (r=-0.19, p=0.03) and teamwork (r=0.18, p=0.04) showed a significant negative correlation with the overall perceived stress of nurses in neonatal intensive care units. Conclusion: Identifying the status of the professional environment and attempting to improve it is of vital importance in reducing the stress of nurses and the health of the working staff and affecting the quality of services. The overall stress of nurses has important effect on the health of the employed workforce and influences the quality of services. Materials & Methods: This study was descriptive-analytic. The data collection tool was a standard questionnaire for factors affecting attendance in the classroom from the students' point of view. The population included all students of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences. 381 of them were selected by stratified random sampling. Collected data was analyzed by SPSS software version 20. Results: The average age of the samples was 21.22±2.16 years. 212 persons (55.6%) of the sample were female and the rest were male. Mean and standard deviation of the total score of the questionnaire of the reasons for attending the classroom from the student's point of view were 2.6±0.43, the area of the teacher was 2.02±0.51, the educational environment was 2.04±0.52, and the student's area was 2.12±0.61. Also, the results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between students' civil status (p≤0.01), gender (p≤0.01) and the average score (p≤0.01) with the attendance level in the classroom. Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, it can be concluded that there was a direct correlation between students' demographic characteristics and the classroom attendance, the areas of professor, educational environment and students. Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 200 nurses working in Khorramabad city at Shahid Madani Hospital. Samples were selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a demographic questionnaire and a nurses' ethical sensitivity questionnaire for decision making. Collected Data was analyzed by SPSS software version 16 and descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: According to the reported results, 19.5% of nurses had a low moral sensitivity, 77% had moderate moral sensitivity and 3.5% had high moral sensitivity. The highest scores were related to knowledge about the relationship with the patient 63.33±15.45 and the lowest score was for professional knowledge of nurses 52.69±13.6. Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, it was found that nurses had moderate moral sensitivity. Recognizing the factors related to communication skills of nursing students, including spiritual intelligence, can be used to increase the quality of care. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between spiritual intelligence and communication skills of nursing students in Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences. Materials & Methods: In this descriptive-correlational study, 286 nursing students were selected by stratified sampling method. Data were collected by King’s Spiritual Intelligence Questionnaire and Barton’s Communication Skills Questionnaire. Data analysis was done by descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS 21 software. Results: The mean age of the students was 21.37±2.39 years. Most of the students were male (55%) and studying in the fourth year of the university (30%) (Seventh semester (17.1%)). The mean (standard deviation) of spiritual intelligence was 59.71 (12.04) and communication skills was 51.83 (10.10). Based on Pearson correlation coefficient, the correlation between communication skills with spiritual intelligence and its areas was positive (0.414) and was statistically significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: There was a positive and significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and communication skills. Considering this issue in students, along with physical, mental and social dimensions, can increase the communication skills and increase the quality of nursing care in the future. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between parental parenting styles and perfectionism in nursing and medical students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Abadan and its comparison with single-parent families and several children in 2014. Materials & Methods: This is a a descriptive-analytic approach. The study population consisted of 322 nursing and medical students who entered the study by simple random sampling. Demographic questionnaire, parenting styles questionnaire and perfectionism questionnaire were used to collect information. Results: There is no meaningful difference in men in the 4 dimensions of perfectionism (doubts about actions, parental expectations, parental criticism and ordering) between children and children, but worries about mistakes with a child are greater than worries about mistakes. With several children (P<0.05). The most influential child-rearing style in both sexes is male and female. In men, there is a positive and significant relationship between the authoritative parenting style and order. (P<0.01, r=0/68) And there is the least statistical relation between this parenting style and parental criticism (P<0.01, r=-0/37). Conclusion: Considering the abnormal structure of perfectionism, the recognition of the relationship between parental parenting styles and the perfectionism of children, in addition to advancing perfectionism and personality theories, has helped educators to apply in practice with education Appropriate childcare practices prevented the development of this structure to some extent. This study was conducted to compare the quality of life of pregnant women with and without sleep apnea. Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional-comparative study, was conducted in 2014 among 140 pregnant women (70 with sleep apnea and 70 healthy women) who referred to health centers in Saqqez. Pregnant women were selected with conceived sampling. Data were collected using a demographic form, STOP and Quality of Life SF-36 questionnaire. Results: The mean total score of quality of life and physical function score (P=0.006), general health (p=0.02), social function (p=0.02) and mental health (p=0.02) in pregnant women with sleep apnea was significantly lower than women without sleep apnea. Conclusion: Quality of life in women with sleep apnea was lower than in healthy pregnant women.
