زمینه و هدف: مراقبت از فرد مبتلا به سرطان، به ویژه یکی از بستگان درجه یک، می‌تواند بارهای فیزیکی و عاطفی قابل‌توجهی را برای مراقب به ویژه مراقب‌دهنده اصلی به همراه داشته باشد به گونه‌ای که از نیازهای برآورده نشده خودآگاه نیستند. لذا مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین نیازهای مراقبتی حمایتی مراقبین خانوادگی بیماران مبتلا به سرطان انجام شد.
مواد و روش‌ها: این پژوهش مطالعهای توصیفی است که در سال 1402 به صورت چند مرکزی در استان‌های خوزستان و تهران بر روی 476 نفر از مراقبین خانوادگی بیماران مبتلا به سرطان انجام شد. ابزارجمع‌آوری داده‌ها در این مطالعه شامل 2 بخش متغیرهای دموگرافیک و نیاز‌های مراقبتی حمایتی مراقبین خانوادگی بیماران مبتلا به سرطان بود. از نرم‌افزار SPSS-v24 و آزمون‌های آمار توصیفی (میانه، میانگین، جداول فراوانی و نمودار ها) و شاخص‌های پراکندگی (واریانس و انحراف معیار) برای گزارش فراوانی و درصد متغیرهای استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: میانگین نمره نیازهای حمایتی مراقبتی مراقبین خانوادگی بیماران مبتلا به سرطان برابر با 47/32 ± 71/170 با بازه 220-44 بوده است. مهم‌ترین نیازهای تأمین نشده شامل" دسترسی به اطلاعات در رابطه با پیش آگهی یا پیامد احتمالی فرد مبتلا به سرطان" با  (9/92 درصد) 442، " دسترسی به اطلاعات در رابطه با خدمات حمایتی برای مراقبین/همسران افراد مبتلا به سرطان" با  (6/92 درصد) 441 و " پرداختن به ترس‌هایتان در رابطه با  تحلیل جسمی یا روانی فرد مبتلا به سرطان" با (4/91 درصد) 435 بودند.

نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد مراقبین دارای نیازهای تأمین نشده حمایتی و تسکینی زیادی هستند و میانگین نمره این نیازها در سطح بالا قرار دارد و پر اولویت‌ترین نیازهای مراقبین مربوط به ابعاد نیازهای اطلاعاتی و نیازهای خدمات مراقبت سلامتی بود.
