As Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedical Faculty of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, I deem it my duty to devote the opening words of this issue to an expression of gratitude. Without doubt, the defining milestone of this journal has been its strategic transition toward Scientific-Research Accreditation status. This qualitative leap would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our respected Editorial Board, our esteemed reviewers- who have served as guiding lights through their fair and constructive critiques- and the committed authors who placed their trust in this path and entrusted us with their valuable work. To each and every one of you, I extend my deepest appreciation.
Yet this gratitude serves as a prelude to a firm resolve: our new approach is not confined to merely accepting manuscripts; it places emphasis on the quality of impact. As Editor-in-Chief, I will insist upon transparency in the review process, a reduction in decision-making time, and the encouragement of problem-oriented and interdisciplinary research. We are determined to elevate this journal from a mere publisher of articles to a platform for addressing the pressing scientific challenges of our time.
In addition to being indexed in DOAJ and Index Copernicus, and having obtained Scientific-Research Accreditation from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, the journal is currently under evaluation for inclusion in reputable indices such as Scopus.
This journal is committed to conducting its peer review process in accordance with international standards, and in particular the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All submitted manuscripts, following an initial assessment by the Editorial Board, are sent for expert evaluation to at least two independent reviewers. The review process is conducted in a double-blind manner to ensure the impartiality and scholarly quality of the works published. Furthermore, the journal rigorously upholds its policy against plagiarism. All submissions, prior to entering the review process, are screened using reputable similarity-detection systems.
I cordially invite professors, researchers, and specialists interested in serving as reviewers for this journal to express their willingness through the journal's website. The participation of expert and dedicated reviewers will guarantee both the scholarly quality and the timeliness of the review process. In closing, this clear path will not be smoothed without your accompaniment. I invite you-our respected professors, researchers, and students- to assist us in advancing this journal ever further by submitting your original works and by embracing scholarly critique.
