مقدمه: آگاهی و رعایت حقوق بیماران توسط تیم بهداشتی درمانی باعث ارتقاء کیفیت درمان و افزایش اعتماد و رضایت بیماران می‌شود. این پژوهش با هدف بررسی تأثیر کارگاه آموزشی منشور حقوق بیمار جراحی بر میزان آگاهی دانشجویان اتاق عمل انجام شد.
مواد و روش ها: این مطالعه نیمه تجربی با مشارکت 61 دانشجوی اتاق عمل که به روش آسان به مطالعه وارد شدند انجام گرفت. ابزار پرسشنامه‌ی استاندارد آشنایی با قوانین و استانداردهای حقوق بیمار در اتاق عمل بود. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها با نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 19 انجام شد. سطح معنی‌داری در این مطالعه کوچک‌تر از 0/05 در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته ها: میانگین و انحراف معیار نمره پیش‌آزمون و پس‌آزمون آگاهی از حقوق بیمار به ترتیب 2/63±22/28 و 2/63±23/69 بود. آزمون تی زوجی اختلاف معنی‌دار را بین میانگین نمره پیش‌آزمون و پس‌آزمون نشان داد. میانگین نمره پس‌آزمون به طور معنی‌داری بیشتر از پیش‌آزمون بود (0/01p<).
نتیجه گیری: نتایج نشان داد اکثر دانشجویان اتاق عمل قبل از مداخله از سطح آگاهی خوبی برخوردار هستند، این در حالی بود که میزان آگاهی پس از انجام مداخله افزایش یافت. پیشنهاد می‌شود با برگزاری کارگاه‌ها و دوره‌های آموزش سطح آگاهی دانشجویان از منشور حقوق بیمار را افزایش داد تا کیفیت مراقبت‌های بهداشتی و درمانی افزایش یابد.
