زمینه و هدف: رحم و پستان بخش مهمی از تصویر جنسی یک زن از خویشتن است، با توجه به تأثیرات روانی حذف ارگان‌های زنانه بر ارزش گذاری بدن و تنظیم و مقابله روانی افراد، مطالعه حاضر با هدف مقایسه ی راهبردهای تنظیم شناختی هیجان، تصویر بدنی و رضایت جنسی زنان با و بدون سابقه جراحی هیسترکتومی و ماستکتومی انجام شد.
مواد و روش ها: این مطالعه از نوع علی-مقایسه ای بود. 135 نفر (45 نفر هیسترکتومی شده، 45 نفر ماستکتومی شده و 45 نفر زنان عادی) به صورت نمونه‌گیری در دسترس، در سال 98 در شهر رشت انتخاب شدند و به پرسشنامه های تنظیم شناختی هیجان Garnefski، نگرانی از تصویر بدنی Littleton و مقیاس عملکرد جنسی (FSFI-6) داوطلبانه پاسخ دادند.
یافته‌ها: در راهبردهای تنظیم شناختی هیجان بین سه گروه زنان تفاوت معنادار وجود دارد؛ راهبردهای زنان ماستکتومی شده (31/13 درصد) در مقایسه با زنان هیسترکتومی شده (28/53 درصد)، سازش یافته تر بود. در نگرانی از تصویر بدنی، زنان گروه ماستکتومی شده (68 درصد) از نظر نگرانی از تصویر بدنی، نگران تر از زنان گروه هیسترکتومی شده (77/43 درصد) بودند. در رضایت جنسی، زنان گروه هیسترکتومی شده (18/11درصد)، رضایت جنسی کمتری نسبت به زنان گروه ماستکتومی شده (19/49درصد)، داشتند. زنان گروه عادی از نظر راهبردهای تنظیم شناختی هیجان، نگرانی از تصویر بدنی و رضایت جنسی شرایط متعادل تری داشتند.
نتیجه گیری: نوع راهبرد شناختی تنظیم هیجان زنان هیسترکتومی و ماستکتومی شده، در عملکرد و رضایت جنسی تأثیرگذار است. تخلیه ی پستان در ماستکتومی، اثرات منفی بیشتری بر تصویر بدنی فرد می گذارد.
